Transition
Xavier Carlier fell into the transition when he was little, since he had to replace his father at short notice when he was 18, as CEO of a family company .
He then had a much more classic course, taking his DECS in the evening, while working in an audit firm during the day .
His experiences are industrial (Michelin, Valeo, SEB and Saint-Gobain) and international (he lived in Germany, Hong Kong, China, Russia, Czech Republic, and India).
With a strong financial DNA, he led for the last twenty years transformations, implementation of new tools, and full turnaround.
From his experience in India, he published “Swiss Quality Kitchen for the Growing Indian Market: Can Indian plants produce high Swiss quality products?” with the Zurich University of Applied Sciences, and the Mumbai Institute of Management.
He also founded an NGO, "Collection for Education", which produces school notebooks from industrial waste: this NGO has distributed more than 4 million notebooks in India.
Former champion of judo and rugby, he combines the flexibility of one and the team spirit of the other.
Xavier is married with four children and grandfather of three grandchildren.
CISEA was created to meet the transformation needs of European companies in China, India and South East Asia.
From experience, we know that a difficulty is not managed in the same way in Europe and in Asia. Everyone knows that some things can be done, and others cannot, of course, but above all the rules and laws are different. French executives know it, as do employees of Asian companies, but it is difficult to find the right levers.
We are a network of more than 30 French or French-speaking managers, having exercised high-level managerial functions in French groups in the region. Our interim managers are present in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, UAE, Vietnam and India.
We also have contacts in Japan and Australia. All these managers are permanent residents of these countries, which removes any difficulty related to obtaining a visa.
Our offer is to propose and implement solutions adapted to your problems.
The operational and bicultural experience of our managers makes it possible to provide European companies with an immediate response to their problems, and this for all the functions of the management committee.
Our interim managers have carried out the following missions several times, either within large French groups or in transition missions:
Redefinition of strategic plans (industrial blueprint, commercial setup, brand policy)
Alignment of organizations (regional platforms, centralization or strengthening of country structures, restructuring plans)
Turnaround (definition and implementation of operational actions for a rapid return to profitability).
Crisis management (departure of managers, loss of a market or a customer, conflict with a partner, health crisis) and implementation of continuation plans
Compliances issues
Debt structuring (negotiation with local banks, debt buyback)
Supply chain (optimization of sources and flows)
Regional development (creation of subsidiaries, agent networks, joint ventures)
Integration of post-acquisition companies
